There’s something overwhelmingly romantic about a vintage typewriter, linen paper and a head full of ideas.

  1. I love the romance of vintage typerwiters. I think it reminds me of a time when wonderful writing came about without the use of a spell check. And yet I fear that I’d want to absorb the romance of the typewriter and write wonderful bits and pieces but instead it would just paralyze me.

    • You know, I hadn’t thought about a lack of spell check. I would imagine writers typed a bit slower to ensure words weren’t misspelled.

And speaking of writing, it’s so odd how such rich essay ideas arrive when I’m drinking alcohol. I’m starting to understand what Hunter S Thompson was all about.

What are you thinking?
