Fall’s First Flakes at UNO

A few hours before UNO broke for the Thanksgiving holiday on Wednesday, the campus was blanketed in a light dusting of snow. The flakes were the first of the fall season in Omaha.

      • That big open field right there in front of the Eppley building… Yeah, those benches used to be big concrete slabs. In fact, all buildings there were always at the top of a hill no matter which way you were coming from.

        Oh….umm…10 years.

      • The open field (also known as the Pep Bowl, because pep rallies with bonfires were held there years ago) is still a popular hangout for students. I love to see students playing frisbee, studying or sleeping in the grass when the weather is warm. It reminds you not to always take life so seriously.

What are you thinking?
