day two

Tuesday wasn’t nearly as overwhelming as Monday. I’m learning more about the firm and what we offer our clients. Public relations is a much more demanding field that I thought. And while in college, I never considered abandoning my newspaper roots. But things change and happen and develop and surface. And you roll with the punches and make the best of what you have and what you’re given.

you spend your whole life wanting to work in journalism and then when you get there you think … WHAT WAS I THINKING? if i was to do it all over again, i’d go into marketing or pr. my job now is more sales than pr but my overall goal is to go totally pr someday, just like you at an ad agency. just have to pay my dues and network!

I know what you mean! I’m thrilled I spend six-plus years working in journalism. And, to a degree, I still am working in the field of journalism, through my freelance work. I’m now learning how “the other half” lives; and so far, I’m loving it!

What are you thinking?
